The hospital portal is an important part of the Pal/Med patient care tool kit. When a patient presents to a hospital Emergency Room time is often a critical factor, and the patient may not be able to give the ER staff a coherent or accurate medical history. It is vitally important that the ER physician and staff members have such information as a problem list, current medications, drug allergies, and other historical information.
The hospital portal allows the ER to access this information from any computer with an internet connection. Any web browser, independent of hardware or operating system will work.
